SGA October/November Events

Hello Everyone,

My name is Shapan Singh, and I have been appointed as the new SGA President. I would like to take some time and talk about events that have occurred throughout the University in the past few months, and what we are planning on partaking.

In the month of October, we participated in the Kidney Walk. Wilmington University with the help of our faculty, staff, and Men’s Soccer team raised over $6,800, to help assist the National Kidney Foundation in its journey to help educate the public about kidney diseases.

SGA also helped with making Hoopfest a big Success! Hoopfest was held on October 22, in the Pratt Student Center Gym. SGA assisted with giving away prizes, selecting contestants, and handing out Pizza. The gym had standing room only with over 525 guests in attendance! We look forward to this event next year!

We will be conducting a United Way food drive, starting November 15^th and ending December 17^th.  Food can be dropped off to LeAnne Barnhart in the Pratt Student Center Room 101or into the designated boxes around the New Castle, Wilson Graduate Center, and Dover campuses.

I just wanted to take some time and thank everyone who has participated in helping our community and school become a better place.

To all the SGA members, I’m really proud of you guys for everything you have done so far and for everything that has yet to come. I know with all your help we can make our visions into realities!
